The kitchen was one of the last parts of our extension to get done and unfortunately having had quotes from other companies, we thought we would have no kitchen for many years, but getting a quote from DIY initially had us wondering if we’d missed a large part of the order off the quote, as it was roughly 35% less than a well known shop.

We made a saving against the mainstream suppliers (Wren, Howdens etc. and even Homebase). DIY Kitchens were very competitive. The savings were sufficient to allow us to get quartz work tops instead of wood.'

It was so easy to do and if you had any concerns, you just called the team and they would look at the plan remotely and make any changes for you. It meant we were able to really focus on what we wanted rather than someone putting the plan together adding items that we didnt need or positioning items in the wrong places.
When it arrived we were a little worried, as we had purhased kitchen units and laundry units, but nothing to worry about, the units were all labelled and separated, it was just so easy to work it out. There were just a couple of mistakes in the order and these were put right immediately and put on a courier.
We are very pleased with the kitchen, it is exactly what we wanted, the quality is excellent and so much cheaper than I expected. I would definately use DIY Kitchens again. We did pop into their fabulous showroom. This was definately worth the visit, there were such a lot of choices to review. We were able to order the granite at the same time, this was done by another company through DIY Kitchens, again the service was excellent, I couldn't complain about anything. '

The quote we got was a bit cheaper than Howdens and the units were better quality than other brands, which would have been less.'

DIY Kitchens were recommended to me by a work Colleague. Having thoroughly researched and compared all of the major kitchen manufacturers I decided to go with his recommendation. I’ll also add that my son who is a carpenter/joiner couldn’t match the price of supply even with his trade discount when applied to several of DIY Kitchens competitors quotations - many of which he believed to be of a lesser quality.
Aftersales were excellent. I inadvertently ordered the wrong width for one of the wall units. Its replacement was manufactured and sent out in no time at all.
I opted to go with a different company for Quartz worktops which in retrospect I wish I hadn’t as the chosen company turned out to be very unreliable and twice cut the tops incorrectly.
The Kitchen Planner is an excellent tool. My chosen / final design ended up also being a virtual carbon copy of the design recommended by several other high streets kitchen manufacturers. This helped massively in strengthening my belief that it was the correct design choice.
All in all I’m thrilled with the finished product and all of our friends have raved about it. Thank you.'

I installed the kitchen myself and was impressed by how easy it went together. The cupboards are well built and the method to secure them together. Getting the carcasses level was fairly straight forward and securing them together was simple. I'm very particular on the fit and finish and I managed to get all the doors perfectly lined up as the adjustment in the hinges was easy to use.The finish on the doors is also superb.
We wanted a waterfall island and after shopping around decided to order through DIY kitchens. The finish is amazing and the pattern actually translates over top to side! I was impressed by the chamfered edging and everyone who sees it is impressed.
We had a kitchen via Wren 10 years ago but removed this as we were extending our house and moving the kitchen location. I can safely say the quality difference is night and day. I would always recommend DIY over any other kitchen supplier.
In terms of savings. These speak for themselves. Wren & Magnet's quotes were £35,000. I managed to get our kitchen fully installed for £18,000. This included having top end Neff oven, Neff extraction hob and having a boiling tap. We also had full size separate fridge and freezer. By saving money we were able to upgrade everything.'

Andy from Norfolk 'Following a trip to the DIY Kitchens showroom where we were given some great advice from the knowledgeable staff, we were able to see some great design ideas to incorporate into our own kitchen design. We found the whole process of designing and purchasing our new kitchen simple and straight forward.
It was following our visit that we realised that rather than fit end panels on the island we used corner posts and two appliance doors side by side to maintain the handleless door profile all around. This was further enhanced with led lighting all the way around the underside of the worktops which also lights up the inside of the draws when opened.
Before starting the project we obtained quotes from all of the major kitchen suppliers and found that not only was our DIY Kitchen of superior quality, it provided the best choice of unit configurations and saved us circa £10k compared to an equivalent kitchen from Wren. Add to that the easy to use online design tools and the amazing customer support it was a simple choice.
The installation proved to be straightforward with fully built units coming out of their packaging with very minimal work required to align them. The quality of the internal mechanisms are noticeably of high end German quality and design which provide beautiful smooth operation. The high gloss finish of the Doors stands out as a real quality product. The recommendation of the showroom staff to fit Deckton worktops with upstands has provided an amazing finishing touch. This super practical and simple to maintain surface was installed by your recommended supplier and again this proved to be a fantastic seamless experience.
We are delighted with the final result and have already highly recommended DIY Kitchens to a number of people.

It looks modern and clean and suits our family way of life perfectly. We love the wall of cupboards/ovens and the island. The bin drawer was one of our best buys and the larder cupboard with metal shelving that opens out. The deep drawers are much more practical for pots and pans and ovenware than the cupboards we previously had.
We heard about DIY kitchens from a plumber who came to give us a quote for doing our new kitchen. We were looking at Wren but finding their designs unimaginative. He'd recently done his own kitchen using DIY kitchens and recommended you based on quality. I had a look and decided to use the online tool and do the design myself. The process was lengthy but worth it. We got a far better quality kitchen in a fabulous colour finish for several thousand pounds less than with Wren.'

Andrew from Kent 'We ordered knowing the company name through Instagram house accounts that have used DIY kitchens before and were told of their quality, however we didn’t realise how good until we ordered for ourselves.
The online planner is excellent and intuitive with all the right information to guide you through elements of a kitchen design you wouldn’t have thought of if you weren’t a kitchen fitter/designer, such as spaces between units for doors to open and how to get the most out of blanking panels, rather than wasting money on more larger sheets etc.
During the whole process, the people at the end of the phone were all knowledgeable and understood what we wanted to achieve and could easily visualise what issues we were having, when trying to design certain aspects, nothing seemed out of the ordinary with them which was a relief.
Once it arrived, it was prebuilt, which was part of the attraction because let’s be honest, who has time to sit and build flat packs these days. The cost was extremely worth it in my opinion and far outweighed the quality of cheaper alternatives.
Assembling was pretty easy and we were given a check list to check the order off by, so we knew we had everything. The quality of the doors was impeccable and the units were solid and well built. We had forgotten to order a unit and they sent it fast tracked rather than having to wait 4 weeks for another single piece to arrive and finish off the build.
The worktops we used were great and very simple to fit. We managed to get a beautiful kitchen for a renovation project well within budget and we could not have been happier with the whole process. So much so my wife wants to move house now
so we can redesign a new kitchen all over again.

Drawing the plan was very simple as was adding the units to the plan, the automatic adding of plinths, end panels, etc. helped simplify the process, my only comment here is that the cost should be labelled minus vat.
The ordering process was very easy, I liked the notification of errors in the planning it was very useful.
The delivery date window was given and prior to delivery, I was contacted with regards to the date then later a 2 hour window was given for the arrival, the driver and his mate were very polite and helpful.
While I was fitting the kitchen, the instruction booklet was very helpful, I encountered a number of small issues but your support staff were superb and your support ticket process I found simple to navigate, Becci was one of your support staff I had dealings with, I apologise to the others that I am unable to remember their names but everybody I had dealings with were very professional, polite, helpful and efficient.

I went to a well known company for a quote for almost the same kitchen who’s draws we’re not as smooth if I’m honest. Their quote was over double the price I paid with DIY kitchens.
I get so many compliments about my kitchen. Everything is very sturdy and the install was easy. The DIY kitchen design tool was really useful and the feed back I got from the “helpers” was great. They let me know where there was extra room, what would fit and checked my basket for me before I ordered.
When the kitchen was delivered, one unit was broken during transport, I sent a message to the team and had a replacement within 2 days. Any faults were resolved almost the same day.

Love the choice to have different colour on interior of units and doors. Units are so well made and will last years. They are top notch; lots to choose from size wise to fit the smaller kitchen. High gloss finish gives wonderful reflections from the outside which we did not expect looks awesome and opens up the whole kitchen. Larder units are excellent we have two.
Fits all the crockery in one and food in the other. Worktops are beautiful, no marks or stains and easy to keep clean, matched them with up stands, to give a super finish. Our first new kitchen in 25 years, so happy with it. Excellent price ,excellent service from start to finish of our purchase. Could not wish for better service and end product. One issue we had was our kitchen was a little awkward in that it is split in two by a door on two opposite walls, then we have windows on the one remaining wall. This limited us with no wall space for wall cupboards except on one section of wall where we elected to fit floor to ceiling units which would enclose the fridge/freezer, pull out larder and cupboard.
We found that DIY Kitchens had the vast range of width of units which allowed us to have the kitchen we wanted and would fit, other outlets simply did not have the units available. The other major deciding factors were that for the price the quality was superior, thicker backs for instance and the real clincher was the units are all prebuilt. yes you can get kitchens for similar money but they all come as flat pack so be prepared for hours of extra work building up each unit.
Our kitchen arrived well packed and we were impressed with the quality and robustness of the units. We also found after sales backup excellent and they had no issues supplying us with the odd extra panel we found we needed or one to replace one we messed up cutting.
We are very pleased and proud of our new kitchen, even more so as it was a DIY Kitchen!'

Heavy solid units which feel good quality and I know will last years. Any damage during transit DIY kitchen customer care were quick to act and sent out a replacement free of charge. The stone surface is Dekton Sirius, this is also an excellent product that is very durable and looks good. DIY Kitchens quote was £1005 cheaper than any other worktop company I contacted. I would highly recommend DIY Kitchens to anyone that needs any type of kitchen. '

I came across DIY kitchens while Googling companies that supplied kitchens that I could install myself. We visited the showroom in South Kirkby at the beginning of October 2020 and we were impressed with the displays and the helpfulness of the staff. Unfortunately, due to the dreaded Covid, we could not buy any appliances so these were sourced elsewhere. We ordered our kitchen at the end of November and it was delivered mid-January 2021.
The cabinets and doors are very good quality, with sturdy rigid carcases and well finished doors. The worktops are finished on both sides and also very good quality. There were a few minor issues which were quickly resolved although a mismatching worktop took a bit longer as this was an external supplier.
DIY kitchens were very helpful in providing the correct units to allow our breakfast bar to be at table height, rather than worktop height. This was achieved with reduced depth, reduced height base units with a tall end panel horizontally across the back. The unit doors were put on upside down to make it easy to open them. A base end panel at the end to was added to provide greater stability for the worktop.
I also made a bin drawer using additional drawer trays with cut-outs to take a standard 50l bin and a recycling bin cupboard using extending drawer runners.
I set back the pelmet trim to make it easier to access the wall unit “handles”. The backboard, which completes the look, is fairly easy to work with but obviously needs careful measurements for fitting (measure five times, cut once!).
Having completed the kitchen it made the utility room look very dowdy, so that was the next project. I wanted to maximise the storage here so I double stacked reduced height wall units. We had to have a new boiler fitted while I was doing the kitchen; this was much smaller than the original so I adapted a couple of wall units to go round it. The broom cupboard was supplied dry assembled with an extra 570mm high door. I reduced the height of the broom cupboard to match the smaller door, then placed a reduced height base unit upside down on top (I removed the leg holders with a multitool). There is actually an external door hidden behind the broom cupboard and adjoining units which we never used. The tumble dryer is vented through this.
Would I recommend DIY Kitchens? Yes, most definitely. I would not hesitate to use them again.'

Once we had made the decision to replace our ten year old kitchen that we had been nursing along for the last few years, we wanted to install quality units that were solid and well built, with a hard wearing finish, and more than a little contemporary style. We researched on line and found DIY kitchens. The reviews were complimentary and more importantly your prices were good..
Having fitted our last ‘flat pack’ kitchen myself, I particularly appreciated the solid nature of the pre-assembled carcasses – it made installation a breeze; and the addition of the colour coordination inside just finishes off the look so well. Important to mention the quality of the doors and hinges: With Luca being a handle less ‘J pull’ design, the additional thickness of your doors (compared to most of your competitors), means that they are solid and very comfortable to open, even on a built in heavy full height fridge door. Even more expensive kitchen suppliers couldn’t provide this. That extra couple of millimetres may seem only a little thing, but it makes all the difference.
Due to supply issues and covid restrictions, things unfortunately weren’t always as slick as they might have been, and we had to return a few damaged parts, but to your credit, the replacements were dispatched in record time, with no fuss and your customer service was second to none – many thanks go to all your team.
Thanks also go to your order department for coping with my requests for unfinished panels and components. Obviously your business model works around set sizes and units, but your willingness to supply non standard parts enabled me to construct a bespoke corner broom / store cupboard, modify and fit a tall pull-out drawer for a heavy mixer and magimix under the oven and fully integrate our full height fridge and freezer, maximising storage above and finishing it with a bespoke double width door, all the time keeping the styling cues on the doors running down our galley kitchen. The finished kitchen looks a million dollars and has been much admired.
The money we saved buying direct from DIY enabled us to spec the kitchen to a higher level than we might have been able to, and as a result, we have ended up with a fabulous kitchen with which we are justifiably proud to own.

The corner units, both the base and the wall units are amazing. The amount of space in them is unbelievable. This kitchen is so much better than similar ones we looked at at Wren Kitchens and Howdens - Howdens call theirs the Clerkenwell and Wren call it J-Pull - but due to the lack of thickness of their doors their handle area is not as wide and you can’t get your finger tips in there fully to pull them open. There is a lot more space for fingers to open the DIY Kitchen cabinet doors.
The worktop is also lovely, great quality, extremely heavy and the corner round piece of worktop to fit the corner base unit was impressive. We dealt with a lady called Janina at the DIYKitchens showroom and she was brilliant. Really helpful, polite and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for her. Her customer service was second to none. We’ll definitely be returning DIYKitchens and asking for Janina for the next kitchen, whether for us or a family member.
We are not the kind of people that buy the first thing they see at the first shop. We looked around at Wren, Howdens, Magnet and some independent retailers. We searched online to see what we could find, and we came across DIYKitchens online via a Google search. We visited DIYKitchens and found that the quality was superior and the kitchen was actually cheaper, so a double win for us.

All this proved to be unfounded, as the whole process was relatively easy (despite the Covid lockdown) and allowed me to adjust the design prior to finally committing to manufacture.
The number of kitchens and finishes is endless, so to help us decide on the colour of our units we ordered a few samples. These arrived within a few days and were packaged extremely well.
When we had finalised our design using the online design tool, I spoke to the design team to check a few things before we submitted the order. These questions were answered promptly and they also suggested a few changes
which they incorporated into the design while I was on the phone.
The kitchen was delivered well packaged on the day specified at 9pm! The delivery guys were great.
The quality of the units, finish and hardware are of a very high standard. Also, the appliances were priced very competitively and I would purchase again. The only fault we can find is the MDF that the side panels, plinths
and base units are made of is not moisture resistant.
Overall, we are very happy with the quality of the units and our kitchen fitter was really impressed with the build quality and cost.'

The carcasses are offered in a much wider range of colours so you can have suitably colour matched carcasses to the doors when its a painted style kitchen.
The backs of the carcasses are also much thicker than many allowing for the easy attachment of fittings like outlets for appliances etc. Overall they are just a better quality unit than many available at comparable prices.'

As we were able to design and pick what we knew we wanted, DIY kitchens totally worked for us and allowed us to make little adjustments to the design, and ultimately to the kitchen itself, to suit what we wanted (e.g housing a boiler in the utility / extractor hood etc)
The quality of the units are excellent; very robust and great mechanisms. The drawers easily hold alot of weight and the high cupboards allows me to maximise the storage space whilst also making the whole space feel bigger. The colour is lovely and the matt effect is very easy to clean.
The worktops are absolutely solid; infact so many blades were burnt out cutting it! We used the same worktop on our windowsill and have also made a little shelf and a bench seat out of the off cuts (why Ive included a picture of the dining area to show the seat).
Customer service was great if any issues before, during and after the delivery. Finally the touch up paint is a great touch and we used it to touch up slight modifications we had to make. '

Richard from Hertfordshire 'We wanted to update our kitchen to replace tired cabinets and doors that had originally been a darker wood but had been brightened up a few years ago by painting the base units pale green and wall units white but had reached the stage of needing repainting. We know three families who had used DIY Kitchen units recently and they all were very pleased with them.
After looking at the three kitchens we decided that we could select units which would give us enough additional storage space to enable us to dispense with the wall units on one side of the rather narrow space and create the feeling of a larger room.
We chose the Luca handle-less range with drawer units instead of cupboards wherever possible, which we felt would give a modern look and again give the impression of increased space in the room.
So, I set about using the online planner to do my first kitchen design and, apart from a couple of minor glitches which DIY were very helpful in resolving, it has turned out as we hoped. Our kitchen fitter, who usually worked with Howdens units, was very impressed with the build quality, solid feel and door thickness of the DIY units, especially in view of the price difference. He intended to investigate using DIY units on future jobs.
We opted to use our own existing dishwasher and larder fridge so did not use integrated unit fronts. In order to give a bit of colour to the perhaps slightly bland hob side of the kitchen, we obtained a glass splash-back in the same colour used on the opposite wall and a feature wall at the other end of the room. We had made our minds up to use DIY kitchens 5 minutes after entering their impressive showroom. They had a huge range to browse at and any questions were answered confidently by the staff on hand, another thing that swung our decision was the online kitchen planner that allowed us to design and style the kitchen to our liking at home.
The units are very well made, which makes installation far easier and they look fantastic when fitted, even by myself! They are far better than other kitchens we looked at such as B&Q etc and you also get a lot more for your money.

I designed and installed the kitchen myself as a DIY project, this being only the 2nd kitchen I have fitted, the previous one 30 years ago and that was a simple galley style without any built in appliances and no tall units. Hidden behind doors are a dishwasher, freezer & ¾ high fridge. As well as the kitchen the adjoining utility room was also rebuilt.
I found the design section of the showroom really helpful in checking and finalising the design, though the Island design evolved during the build, when I realised I could reduce the 1000mm gap at the ends, allowing me to increase its length by 500mm and adding in the extra corner units. I copied from your showroom the idea of the floating shelves mounted on a contrasting back panel.
I used worktop to make matching window cills and offcuts to make chopping boards and pot stands.'

The units and doors came assembled AND SQUARE, so with the help of a spirit level all I had to do was lift them into place. I opted for the base units with drawers, as with being a pensioner, I can access items at the back of the drawers without going on my hands and knees, as I would have to do with the base units with doors.
The worktops are of good quality and, as with the units, there was plenty of choice.
I travelled through to the DIY kitchen showroom on two occasions,- initially to check the style I fancied from your internet site, (I found your staff very helpful); when I had narrowed my colour choices down to two I returned to the showroom to make my final colour choice.

We were very pleased with the quality of the products. The cupboards were nicely painted in a Matt grey. The units were really easy to put up and fit. We had a slight issue with one cupboard being damaged in transit but we had a swift response and it was resolved quickly. I recommend you as a company for a kitchen, hardest part is either fitting it yourself or finding a carpenter etc to fit it for you, I did it myself.
I heard about you just by searching the internet. We visited the showroom, which was really helpful as well. Didn’t use the design service but it was good seeing all products and layouts.
Also used your idea for hiding the washing machine and tumble dryer with a deeper worktop. '

Prices were amazing and I compared against other manufacturers - 4 of them. Went onto your website and started planning and building our kitchen. Alabaster gloss, handleless, Luca was the kitchen my wife wanted.
Built the kitchen and placed an order. Was a bit worried that I'd missed parts, it wouldn't fit and so on but the checks by your guys caught out a few bits and pieces. Everything was ordered and it was great that I could "delay" the order until everything was ready.
Old kitchen was gutted, and I mean gutted. Back to the bare walls - new insulation, new plasterboard, new wiring, new sockets and light switches - everything. New kitchen arrived bang on time. Fitters were very impressed with the quality and solidity of the kitchen......and the price.
Started to install the kitchen. There were a couple of niggles - drawer facing missing, some end panels in wrong material but you guys sorted it all out very, very quickly so that the build didn't stop.
I got to know a couple of the ladies on the call desk very well and they were extremely professional, helpful, courteous and calm. A credit to your company. Nothing was too much hassle which was great as I was panicking a few times.
The final pieces of the kitchen were installed yesterday - a breakfast bar and the final base units. Everything just looks amazing. Soft close doors are brilliant. Units are of a high quality; everything fits perfectly and there was very little "snagging" done by the kitchen fitters.
We are now not wanting to use the kitchen as it is so immaculate. My wife (the boss) is a very, very happy person. The process is reasonably simple but there can be a few problems, as always, in these sorts of builds but you guys just sorted it all out with the minimum of fuss.
The two fitters are now also recommending DIY Kitchens to their customers as the keep saying they are amazed at the high quality and price of the kitchen. I reckon we would have been 50% more if we had gone to another manufacturer....and I did...4 of them.

I searched online and went onto the Which magazine which put DIY Kitchens as the number one best supplier. They are right. The quality is very high - prebuilt is just perfect for getting a good kitchen. Worktops are good and cheap when you order along side a kitchen.

Our kitchen's in an early 1950s Listed estate, so we had no chance of tearing down the two built-in cupboards or altering the position of the walls! Basically it's 1.34m wide (with an extra 58cm in front of the hatch to the living room), and 3.38m long. Into this we had to fit a sink, cooker, washing machine, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. (It's been a nightmare to photograph!)
We're impressed with the substantial quality of your units. We also appreciate that they're made in many sizes - very important since our flat was designed in pre-metric days; the variety of widths available allowed us to squeeze in the appliances and storage we needed.

Having used the kitchen for nearly a year now I am generally very pleased with it. I really like the big deep draws and the smaller concealed drawers for the cutlery. I am also a big fan of the large larder unit with drawers, we fit so much food in there and it is really easy to access.
The Le Mans corner units are also great storage solutions, I have all my big pans and frying pans stashed neatly away and can get at them in an instant! All the cupboards arrived built which was a great time saver , we had a couple of issues with marked doors but they were resolved quickly by customer services. The doors have withstood a year of family life with no major marks or scuffs and I am confident they will continue to do so, the paint seems to be pretty hard-wearing and easy to clean.
I chose matt, handleless doors because I liked the streamlined look of them and thought they would be easy to keep clean. In retrospect I think I would have chosen handles or knobs, it seems every family member has to open/close the doors in a different place and the big doors especially have continual hand marks on them no matter how much I clean! At least with a knob or handle everyone is touching the same bit. That said, it is a minor gripe. Everyone who has visited has admired the kitchen and says it certainly has the wow factor. We have recommended DIY kitchens to several people since purchasing ours, for quality, choice and great value for money! Thank you.'

We chose a simple white Luca Matt as we wanted to have a bright room (and get away from Beige!) and felt we could update and change the accessories regularly to keep the look contemporary.

The delivery was on time and we had been warned that two appliances were going to be delayed- these were delivered the next week.
We found the build quality was excellent and when we had a couple of queries these were answered promptly and efficiently. My husband Mike installed the units himself- it was relatively straightforward although it obviously took longer than using a professional installer – we learned on the job!
We had grooves cut under the worktop for lighting- we went for colour changeable strips- it makes us laugh.
